Lebedev: Armenia to have hard time without co-op within EAEU, CIS

It will be difficult for Armenia without cooperation within the EAEU and CIS, CIS Secretary General Sergey Lebedev said, Report informs via Russian media.
"The reality is that it will be difficult for Armenia without CIS countries, without cooperation within the EAEU. And why create unnecessary complications and difficulties for the Armenian people? The CIS countries and Belarus, as far as I know, are ready to help Armenia maintain this interaction," he noted.
Speaking about the recently signed Charter on Strategic Partnership between Armenia and the US, and Yerevan's plans for the republic to join the EU, the CIS secretary-general noted that many documents are signed but then not implemented. "Many documents are signed, but not all of them are implemented. Life later makes its adjustments," Lebedev stated.
On January 9, the Armenian government approved a bill to begin the EU accession process and sent it to parliament. On January 24, the Armenian parliament's Commission on European Integration gave a positive conclusion to the bill on starting the country's EU accession process.
