Lavrov promises to visit Yerevan at Mirzoyan's invitation

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that he will accept the invitation from his Armenian counterpart Ararat Mirzoyan and visit Yerevan, Report informs.

"I will definitely accept the invitation that Ararat Samvelovich confirmed to me today - to pay a visit to Yerevan. We will also resume and maintain regular dialogue between deputy ministers," he said, speaking at a press conference following negotiations with Mirzoyan.

He noted that the parties agreed to prepare another two-year plan of consultations between diplomatic departments in the near future. Additionally, he said that Moscow considers the work of the 3+3 consultative format promising.

"We confirmed interest in the functioning of the 3+3 consultative format. Three countries of the South Caucasus - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and their three neighbors, Russia, Iran, and Türkiye. We consider this platform very promising," Lavrov added.
